I advise business and corporate clients on a wide range of legal issues, including the formation of business entities, mergers and acquisitions, contracting, governance, environmental and healthcare compliance.
I have experience assisting with many different types of business contracts, from service and consulting agreements to contracts for the sale of goods, commercial real estate and equipment leases, and stock and asset purchase and sale agreements. I am also very knowledgeable about the legal issues specific to the healthcare industry, having advised a large local healthcare provider for five years.
Before joining Gonsalves & Kozachenko, I was a judicial extern for Justice Marvin R. Baxter, an Associate Justice for the California Supreme Court, where I was responsible for conducting research and drafting legal memoranda on a range of civil and criminal matters. I also interned in the Civil Litigation department of the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
I received my undergraduate degree from UC Davis in 2006 in Political Science and International Relations, where I was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. I received my JD from the UC Davis School of Law in 2010, where I graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.
