The limited scope process begins with a free, 30-minute consultation with the family law attorney to determine whether limited scope services are appropriate for the client’s case. If limited scope services meet the client’s needs, the attorney assesses the case with the client to develop and implement a case management plan to determine the tasks to be handled by the attorney and those that are the responsibility of the client.
Document preparation is completed by paralegals under the supervision of family law attorneys with years of experience of practice in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. Consultations with the attorney throughout the course of the case are available upon request. This provides clients with the benefits of document preparation at a reduced rate, hands-on advice from experienced attorneys whenever the client requests such, and personal attention that is unavailable through paralegal-only document preparation services or nationwide internet sites that employ faceless attorneys who are unfamiliar with our local courts and their rules.
The unbundling of legal services in this manner permits the clients to control the costs of their family law matters, as clients can pick and choose the tasks to be handled by Gonsalves & Kozachenko so that they can stay within their budget. Even if we assist clients with only certain discrete tasks, our clients have the full expertise and resources of Gonsalves & Kozachenko behind them every step of the way.
