I advise clients on family law and estate planning matters, including divorce, child and spousal support, and child custody and visitation as well as drafting wills and trusts.
Before joining Gonsalves & Kozachenko, I worked for five years for California State Senator Christine Kehoe at the State Capitol in Sacramento. In my role as a legislative aide, I was responsible for advising and assisting the Senator with all aspects of the legislative process, including analyzing and reporting on pending legislation, negotiating legislative language with various other parties, researching public policy, and preparing talking points and background materials for the Senator’s speeches on the Senate floor, committee meetings and elsewhere. During my time at the Capitol, I had to work and become acquainted with many of the key figures in Sacramento such as other members of California legislature and their staffs, members of the governor’s staff, committee staff, interest groups and lobbyists.
I received my undergraduate degree from UC Davis in 2007 in Political Science and History. I received my J.D. from the McGeorge School of Law in 2012, attending school at night while working full time for Senator Kehoe.
